David is Australia’s most experienced STEM Leadership Development facilitator and coach. He has delivered 1,000s of workshops and trained and coached more than 10,000 people from more than 400 organisations on leading in an Agile method in a VUCA environment.
David is passionate about helping people see their strengths as Leaders and overcome any limiting beliefs or skills gaps. Having had to overcome these himself, he understands how it feels to experience the “fight, flight or freeze” many people feel. As a globally accredited “Genos Emotional Intelligence” facilitator, David brings scientifically proven methods to removing those fears.
With a background in Operations and Project Management and Management Consulting, David has seen first hand how presentation skills that have not kept up with a leader or manager’s technical skills can impact on their ability to drive engagement and performance in their people.
From developing IBM’s Premier Partners to training Atlassian’s development teams and coaching Allianz Australia’s heads of technology, David has seen how being great at delivering business results doesn’t make you great at delivering inspiring presentations.
Having spoken at Conferences throughout the region, for CPA, EAN, Strata Community Australia, DTZ, Colgate, Austswim and many others, it is clear than there being a “deficit” between people’s “technical” skills and their “presentation” skills is actually the rule rather than the exception. It is David mission to close this gap, and have people as confident and capable in delivering their presentations as they are in delivering their results.
People who work with David, or have seen him speak and present, typically describe him as “engaging (Pfizer), entertaining (Reed Exhibitions), interactive (Search Academy), passionate (Seven West Media), professional (Australand), dynamic (AustSwim), impressive (Universal Music) and WOW! (Vision Australia)”
